INTRO — WHEN GOODNESS DOESN’T GUARANTEE FAIRNESS
There are moments in life when you’ll do everything right —
show up early, stay late, go the extra mile —
and somehow, it still won’t be enough.
You’ll pour your heart, time, creativity, and resources into something you believe in,
only to watch it fall flat or fade without recognition.
And it hurts.
Because you believed that effort would equal outcome.
That integrity would equal reward.
That good intentions would be met with the same.
But life — and people — don’t always work that way.
Reflection – When the Effort Isn’t Matched straighten your crown & become anyway
Excerpt from BOOK 2 – Rising From The Ashes: The Healing Power Of Becoming
There will be times in life when you give it your all — your heart, your creativity, your resources, your time — and still, the outcome doesn’t reflect the effort.
You’ll show up early, stay late, go the extra mile, and walk in with open hands — only to be met with closed ones.
You’ll believe that fairness will follow integrity, that going above and beyond will naturally be seen, valued, and reciprocated.
And then… it isn’t.
But here’s the truth I’ve come to embrace:
Not everyone will match your standard.
Not everyone will see the value behind the scenes.
Not everyone will honor the full story.
And still — I become anyway.
Because I know what I gave.
Because I know the character I kept.
Because I know that legacy is built on consistency, not convenience.
This wasn’t about recognition or reward. This was about dignity. And mine is still intact.
So maybe the silver lining isn’t in the return — maybe it’s in the clarity.
Clarity about how I do life.
Clarity about the kind of people I choose to walk with.
Clarity about the fact that even when I lose, I rise.
So thank you, life, for the lesson.
And thank you, challenge, for the reminder that even in the moments that feel unfair, I still have the power to choose grace — and grit.
The crown doesn’t slip because someone else forgets its weight.
TRUTH — YOUR DIGNITY IS STILL INTACT
Sometimes the return isn’t in the result — it’s in the clarity.
Clarity about who you are.
Clarity about what you value.
Clarity about how you’ll continue to show up — even when no one claps.
Because character is not built in the spotlight.
It’s built in the quiet, ordinary moments when no one sees the sacrifices you’ve made.
The crown doesn’t fall because someone failed to notice it.
It remains steady because you know Who placed it there.
FAITH IN ACTION — GRACE AND GRIT
Maybe the silver lining isn’t about getting what you gave.
Maybe it’s about remembering Who you gave it for.
Grace doesn’t mean weakness.
Grit doesn’t mean hardness.
Together, they form the backbone of resilience —
the sacred strength that keeps you soft in a sharp world.
You are not defined by how others treated you.
You are defined by how you chose to respond.
So straighten your crown.
Take a breath.
And become anyway.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
1️⃣ Where have I given my best and felt unseen?
2️⃣ What can I learn from the moments that felt unfair?
3️⃣ How can I keep showing up with grace — not for validation, but for legacy?
The Crown Still Fits
So thank you, challenge, for the clarity.
Thank you, disappointment, for the discernment.
Thank you, heartbreak, for reminding me that I am still here — still rising.
The effort was not wasted.
The lesson was not lost.
The crown still fits.
When the world forgets your worth,
Heaven remembers your heart.
Because what is unseen by man is always seen by God.
DECLARATION — Appointed. Anointed. Becoming.
I am not what I lost.
I am what I learned.
I am not broken.
I am becoming.
Appointed to rise.
Anointed to rebuild.
Becoming anyway.
